Recently was lucky enough to get into both schools. They were my top 2 choices and I am really struggling to choose between them. Please help me decide between them!
Michigan
Pros: - god tier reputation tickles my ego
- new clinic coming 2022
- close to my friends in Ohio (not too long a drive)
- lot of money flowing into the school which hopefully means students wont want for anything and the school will take care of them
- Ann Arbor is a nice town
- strong specialties?
Cons: - possibly bad class culture. Don't want to get murdered by gunners
- Ann Arbor is nice but more expensive to live in
- cold
-OOS prices
- if I want to go I need to take another class to fulfill pre-reqs
Maryland
Pros: - god tier rep as first dental school
- newish clinic building
- close to a lot of different attractions like DC
- CAN GET IN STATE residency after 1 year (not sure how feasible now with COVID but that is a major draw)
- good general clinic prep
- can just pay my deposits rn and sit back for the next seven months
Cons: - far away from family and friends
- Baltimore isn't the best place to live
