I've been extremely fortunate to have been accepted by both Michigan and Loyola, my top two choices. I REALLY liked both schools, although they're entirely different, but I'm feeling a little torn. (Note - I'm not complaining... I do realize I'm in a good situation). If you were in my situation, which school would you choose? Why?

I'd really appreciate some feedback! Thanks!

Perhaps I understand you incorrectly, but are you actually, honestly, comparing the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor's medical school with that of Loyola Strich of Chicago? I apologise to the police of political correctness but...um...one of them is a public school ranked 9th in US News, is one of the most selective and prestigious of all American medical schools, and the other one is an unranked, private (read: expensive) Jesuit school. What could possibly be the dilemma? Go to UMich.

Haha. You understood me correctly. Thanks for your feedback. I have the same inclination. UMich really is my #1. I truly love the school, and I'm certainly aware of its ranking.
Loyola came in at a (somewhat distant) #2. I liked its friendly atmosphere and it's definitely a good school. I'm just curious to know others' opinions.

I tend to agree. I would say the only reason NOT to got to Michigan is if you absolutely hated the school and everyone in it. Otherwise, you go because it's a frickin' awesome medical school that will open doors and opportunities in the future.
