Unavailable transcript, what would you do?

Hey, a friend who is applying this year is having tremendous difficulty getting AMCAS to verify her transcript correctly. Her Physical therapy curriculum has changed considerably and the registrar is claiming to have no record of the grading criteria from that time period. (She graduated quite a few years ago.) The problem is that the grading scale was completely different then what is customary. Let's put it this way, you had to have a 95 numerical average to get an A, and a 74 earned you a D! I figured this is a smart bunch and you would have many suggestions. Thanks for the input.
