Hello everyone. UNC is one of my 2 or 3 options for med schools in the fall. I'm not 100% sure if that's where I'll go, but I feel pretty confident about it.

So, I'm wondering who else out there has been accepted to UNC, and is fairly certain that's where they'll attend.

Also, do you already personally know other future Tar Heel med students? I regret that I couldn't attend 2nd Look weekend, which would have been great for beginning to meet some (potential) future class mates.

What do I think about UNC? It sucks...yeah, that's right! It's uh...um...sucky and stuff. Yeah! You both should turn down UNC and allow for some waitlist movement. 😀

Seriously, it's a great school. It's not my top choice school, but that's only b/c I've been a CH resident for 9 years and it's time to move on. The students are great, the school is great, the hospital is great, the construction sucks but I guess you can't win them all. So like I've said (many times) before...all y'all holding multiple acceptances have my blessing to turn down UNC and allow for some poor schmucks (ie, me) who haven't been accepted anywhere yet to get in.

Sorry, I promise I'm not normally this crabby. UNC is a great school and you're lucky to be accepted there. But if you hadn't been accepted anywhere yet and you kept hearing about people holding multiple acceptances that they can't decide between, and one of those acceptances is at a school that still hasn't made a decision on you, you'd be crabby too. I guess jealousy doesn't look good on me...I'll be better once my rejection letter is in hand. Cheers. 🙂

I'm actually waiting also to hear from a few schools (one in particular-late interview) and belive me, if I withdraw from UNC (I pretty sure I'm gonna go to UNC) I will mention your name and enthusiasm in my withdrawl letter. Just remeber you promised your undying love to anyone who withdrawls in an earlier thread. Best of luck to you.

sorry to hear about ecu (yeah, they're my top choice), but congrats again on unc. great school, great students, sometimes even a great basketball team. but if you do decide against becoming a tar heel, you know who to call. 😉

I'm a current first year at UNC. See the other UNC thread that has been going on for my comments. The short version is, I love it here and it's a great school. 🙂
