Next year (my senior year) I was planning on taking anatomy and biochem for fall semester. Spring semester, I would take biochem 2 and instrumental chem. However, the prof that teaches the biochem class that I would sign up for also taught my gen chem class. I managed to pull an A in that class, but his tests are ridiculously tricky. I heard that the ones in his biochem class are even worse. There is another biochem prof that is wonderful, excellent at teaching, and it's not too difficult to get an A. However, his class conflicts with the anatomy class.

I've taken anatomy back in high school. Hell, I went to a health magnet high school so I learned anatomy practically every year at that school. Does it seem okay if I forgo anatomy in college in favor of the better biochem prof?

If I do decide that route, I can either take comparitive physiology in the fall and instrumental chem in the spring, or analytical chem in the fall and neurophysiology in the spring. I really enjoy learning all of the neurological aspects in my physiology class that I'm taking now so I'd like to take a course dedicated entirely to that. However, I'm not too keen on taking analytical chem. Besides, the analytical chem prof is going to be brand new next year.

Confused!

take the better prof - that is my vote. If you want to get into UCSF, they require that annoying comp. physio class anyways, something else to consider.

Yes biochem is more important because there are few schools that actually require a semester of it for admissions purposes, whereas anatomy isn't required. Actually if you want to learn the terminology, just by an anatomy textbook and teach it to yourself. It really isn't that hard especially if you've done it before. On the other hand, biochem is not so easily self taught because it is new stuff to most people.
