Hey Guys,
I could really use some advice in choosing between these two amazing schools!
UNE COM
Pros:
-I'm from New England (2 Hours away from the school)
-Most likely can get residency in Northeast
-Group learning- a lot of assessing diagnosis in group settings / PBL stuff
-Honors, High Pass, Pass , Fail (But is this the same as getting graded- idkk)
Cons:
-Rural
-Smaller school, so finding a community can be easy or super hard
-Rotation sites are sorta rural and spread out randomly in New England via lottery system
KCU -KC
Pros:
-Prestige !
-Very diverse school
- Very strong match lists and consistent match lists
Cons:
-Not many individuals matching in the Northeast
-Far from home
-Grades!
-KC and Joplin = larger medical class, I heard iffy things about medical schools being super large
I'm really confused. I love both schools but its decision time soon and I'm afraid of making the wrong choice.
I dont know what I want to go into yet, but I may not want to do FM. I just don't know yet, so the prosepects of options for residency in the future is also important I feel like?
