I just had my interview at UK earlier this week. Overall, I had a great visit and the entire day was very laid back. We met at 9:15 and were then shown a presentation a little bit after that. Then, there were 2 seperate interviews, lunch, and a tour. I think we were done around 1:30.

9:15 AM - Scheduled start time for the interview session
9:15 - 9:30 AM - Welcome and introduction followed by a brief presentation
9:30 - 9:45 AM - Introduction of the interviewers to the applicants
9:45 - 10:30 AM - First Interview (one-on-one)
10:30 - 10:45 AM - Regroup together to prepare for second interview
10:45 - 11:30 AM - Second Interview (one-on-one)
11:30 - 12:30 PM - Lunch / Question & Answer with current 2nd year students
12:30 - 1:00 PM - Tour (led by 2nd year students)

I have an interview at UK on November 5 (Saturday). I look forward to it, since I am 1 of about 75 out of staters interviewed each year =P

I took the April MCAT and was done w/ the secondary in late August I think. Is it true that only 75 out-of-staters get an interview?? I'm out of state and don't have great stats so I was somewhat surprised to get an interview.

that secondary is horrible...by far the longest one i've seen...i havent completed the out of state essay because a lot of it repeats what i said on my personal statement...anyone got any tips for it?

I just got an invite about 2 days ago. I am an august mcat taker, and out of state applicant. However, I scheduled my interview for December 9th. I hope it goes well.

Don't worry about the interview. Both of my people were really laid back. The whole school is really friendly and close knit.

I interviewed on November 5 and I heard back from them about an acceptance on the 10th. They meet every other Thursday I believe, so it just worked out well for me. UK is a great place, and the whole day was extremely laid back.

I just called them today, and found out. Just so you guys know, they expect the class to fill up soon. There's still hope, but it's gonna get tougher!

im an august mcater who submitted secondary hella late in mid nov..called yesterday and they said i passed screening and will get a call from some guy to schedule interview but the interview wont take place till prob feb....i guess im pretty much SOL then huh...

From what I gathered from the school, yes your interview is a little late for comfort. I would suggest you keep calling to find out whether someone cancelled their interview so that you can move yours ahead.

so i emailed Tony, the interview coordinator today...apparently he sent an interview invitation to my email but it bounced for some reason...im int feb 11th and i expressed my concerns about the class...he said they are behind this year so the class wont fill till mid feb....still hoping someone cancels..

Oh well - just got my invite for March 7th so I must really be hurting. Still, it will be fun to go, you never know.
