Hi! I have an interview at Maryland next week and I was trying to find out as much about the school as possible - i have been reading the website and I was wondering what they want you to know about the school! I know some of the basics but I'm freaking out a little about what they will want me to know about them!!! Any help would be wonderful!

I already read some of the other posts regarding the interview but I was wondering what facts, etc, I should know about the school.

I just want to say that it is so great to know so many people are going through the same S*(# as me -

You really don't have to know anything besides the standard information. You will learn alot more about the school during the whole interview day. Don't stress the interview, it really wasn't bad, in fact, I actually had fun. The only question they asked me that would require you to know anything about the u of md was "Why do you want to come to marland." Just answer honestly, and you should be fine. They definately aren't going to give you a quiz on the university of maryland or anything, so don't sweat the interview.

Rovert is right. The school is more interested in getting to know about you. They will want to know what has attracted you to Maryland, but most of the questions revolve around you as a person. You should read over your AADSAS application as they may ask you more indepth questions about things written there (as well as things not written there). Also, be prepared with a couple of questions of your own. Remember, the interview day is a discovery process--for the school and for you. The questions you ask not only show your interest, but also give you information that you will need in deciding if UMB is the place for you.
