Univ. Recom.

Hi guys,

I was wondering how many of u guys have to go thru univ. recom? we have to interview with 3/4 committee members (2 bio and 2 engineer) and then they get all together and make a decision as to how to rate u and then a rec letter is written thru the univ and that is basically the only rec letter that med schools look at (more emphasis) and i think it is not fair!


also how what do u guys think are the most pressuring issues of medicine?

I had to do something like that and I was terrified initially. It was actually really helpful because they modeled a lot of their questions off of questions I might get at a med school interview and they picked out specific parts of my application that they thought I might get asked about. Afterwards they gave me suggestions for improvement etc. Yes, they used that interview to rate me and write my letter of evaluation but at the same time, it was really helpful to have that practice.
