I also received the same email. Kind of like bad and good news haha

I got the same as well, a little disappointing for sure but at least its not a rejection. We all could still get an interview by the end of january, so there is some hope. I want to say it's there way of communicating that we shouldn't hope for anything soon tho.

I got the same email yall above mentioned. The weird thing is that almost everyone I know who applied to this school and hasn’t gotten an interview yet got this email. I wonder if they’re just keeping a large pool of alternates for when OOS people start rejecting their seats?

Everyone who received the MMI update email, when did you receive your "supplemental assessment completed" email? I received mine about an hour and a half before the MMI update email.

I have a feeling they sadly might have just sent this email to everyone

I got mine on November 23 before thanksgiving

Hello all! After reading some comments; everyone that completed the supplemental application got that email. This is because we do not decline anyone until January. All applications are looked at weekly for an interview invite. In January, we will start rejecting applicants after all supplemental applications have been reviewed and scored.

Thank you so much for this information. I was wondering how the rolling MMIs work in regards to applicants getting offered seats already. Does it ever happen where all avaliable seats for the class have been offered before all MMIs have been completed? Since there are about 110 seats for 300 interviews and offers are already getting sent out.
Thank you for the information.
That has never happened. There are still plenty of seats available . The admissions committee meets monthly so there is still plenty of time for people that interview in February/March to get an offer of admission.

Does anyone know of anyone that received an acceptance in December? I know I heard people got accepted back in November but haven’t heard of any more yet!

Just logged back in for this type of info...I ALSO received this same email today.

Me too. Happy to see that it’s everyone and I wasn’t waitlisted!

I did not receive that email and I still haven't heard back from them since submitting my supplemental back in late September....

Perhaps you should email them about your application. At a previous post they were encouraging people to email them if you haven’t heard that your application is being reviewed for an MMI and you submitted in September.

Is anyone else having trouble logging back into their personalized website? When I click the link they gave with my interview invite, it just takes me to the regular Arizona website and not the personalized one anymore.

That also happens to me! I think they only activate it when you need to access it.

Arizona said in an email that they would be sending another wave of interviews today at some point, has anyone heard anything yet today?

The said on the week of January 3rd... I haven't heard anything today.

Higher up in the thread, a UofA rep said that looking into apps and sending out interviews would resume when they were back from their holiday break (Dec. 22nd to Jan. 3rd, I believe). So I *think* it's supposed to pick back up this week, but I don't think a bunch of interviews were sent out today based on their prior messages. They did say they wouldn't send denials until mid-January, and that interview invitations would continue through (if I remember correctly) the end of February. Hope this helps ❤

Hi!
Does anyone know if we need to send in our fall 2021 transcripts, and if so, where do we send them too?

They said in the blanket email sent out late December that they don't accept app updates, so I'm assuming that probably includes that (although most people seem to want to update them on new work/internship experience). I'm guessing if they want to see continued coursework at the interview stage, they'll personally ask at that time.

Has anyone gotten a denial or interview invite yet? I know it's their second day back, but who knows!

I heard back too! So excited for the interview!!! ❤✨🐕💉

Hi! Has anyone gotten an acceptance yet? I had my interview back in November, so I am not sure if acceptances were sent out yet or if they are still waiting for more interviews to take place. Thank you!

I got my acceptance today. I interviewed in December. I seem to remember them saying that they do rolling interviews and admissions, so I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing if you haven’t heard anything. Good luck to you!

Hey guys! I just wanted to reach out as a first year student, for anyone that might have burning questions about the program feel free to message me and I’ll try to get back ASAP ! Good luck ☺️You guys got this !
I searched waaaaay back into this thread to find this comment lol. I have a few questions!!!
1. What are some things you really LOVE about UofA's program?
2. How is the mini-break/year-round system working for you and your peers?
3. What is one thing you want interviewees/accepted new students to understand and/or be excited for with this school?

For those who were accepted, are you going to attend? Why or why not? I have an in-person visit scheduled for February, and an interview the 1st week of March!

I just got accepted a week ago today. Previously I had been accepted to Midwestern (which was my #2 choice since I wanted to stay in AZ), but because U of A is my #1, I am going to accept :)

For me it came down to a few things:
1. Cost. Midwestern has an amazing program and a beautiful campus/hospital, but the private tuition rate is killer.
2. Schedule. I love the idea of a three year program mostly because I am a little older than the average applicant and saving a year of schooling means a lot to me (especially considering the financial impact of being out in the workforce a year earlier)
3. Clinical year. I went back and forth with this at first. The University of Arizona does not have a teaching hospital like Midwestern does, and I know for some this is a downfall because you aren’t able to have the hospital available to you with all of the specialists right there on campus at your “home” clinic. Buuuut, U of A has you spend your 3rd year in 4wk blocks at clinics of your choosing around the country. Because I want to go into equine and livestock/rural med this is awesome for me because I will be able to go to clinics that specialize in my interests vs going along with whatever the school’s hospital has available. I like the ability to choose more niche areas if that’s your preference.
4. Location. Honestly, I just really love Oro Valley. I’m a warm weather lover, and the Catalinas are absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. I am going to bring my horse with me too, and there are lots of trails ☺️

Good luck! ❤️ I hope to see you in August!

Your reasons actually sound a LOT like mine! I'm an AZ native as well, want to do regulatory/rural/ag med, and only applied to Midwestern and UofA! And I'm also a bit older than the average applicant too! It would be awesome if I get in too this year and we get to chat IRL!
How soon after your interview was the notice you had been accepted? The first open interview slot they had for me was the morning of March 4th (I submitted my app the first week in August but one of my vets submitted her eLOR literally the day or 2 before the VMCAS extended deadline 😅, so I knew I was actually towards the bottom of the pile since my app wasn't technically "completed" until basically the deadline, so I WAS expecting later notice for EVERYTHING). My app wasn't even reviewed until mid-December! Regarding the late interview, I'm a bit nervous about the idea of most seats being filled already, because I REALLY want to go since UofA is my #1 choice!

Also- have they given any info on COVID precautions/restrictions to admitted students? Like are classes going to be flex, in-person, the choice to do either, etc? I've looked online but all I can find is info for UofA's undergrad classes!

Hello!
Does anyone know if Az will be doing file reviews? I haven’t heard back yet regarding interview or rejection, but I know that they are sending out rejections by the end of the month, so I’d like to be prepared for that.

Oh wow, I love that! I’m praying you get in. I would love to have you as a classmate.

And March will be here in no time! I can’t wait to hear how it goes afterwards. but I interviewed on the 10th of December and found out I was in on January 6th I believe. I know the admissions committee meets once a month to make decisions though. I wouldn’t worry too much about seats, just because although U of A is an amazing program, I know of a few people already who will be turning down their seats to attend their in-state schools and there must certainly be more of those in that position! I’m so excited to know you also want to go into Ag :)

As for COVID, I noticed on my tour that everyone was in class…but they were wearing masks. They are taking the normal precautions, but it appears that they are all back in class. Not sure where you stand on that whole subject, but I’m so excited to know it doesn’t have to be online!

Hi! Is anyone still waiting patiently to hear about an interview? I’m super nervous as I have not heard anything yet! I’m a first time OOS applicant but have gotten 5 rejections so far so am not the most optimistic now!

I’m still waiting. I believe they said we should know our status by the end of January. Fingers crossed

Did they tell us to expect a phone call?? I interviewed in November…now I’m panicking lol
Oh gosh, I don't know (I'm sorry if I just majorly spiked your BP!!!)...I think a few other people said they were notified via email and/or phone call, but I've heard from a LOT of applicants this year (not just UofA, but actually from a lot of school threads I'm lurking on, like Midwestern's) that people's school portals are just updating to an "Accepted" or "Acceptance Checklist" page, and then within a day or so they get a call and/or email. I think that's because we all keep refreshing our respective applied-to schools' portals near-constantly, so people are seeing their interview offer or acceptance there first. I also think from a school's side, they probably update portals first, KNOWING that the first thing accepted students will do is head there, and then they send out the email or call.
This could all be wrong of course- it's just my speculation from what I've seen from others so far...I haven't even gotten to my interview yet so honestly I'm waiting to see what other people's acceptances/denials from UofA look like in order to know what to expect.
So please please don't freak out!!! I am sending prayers and good vibes your way- the waiting is the WORST part, I should know, since UofA is my #1 choice, and I only applied to 2 schools 😅

In their info meeting after the interview, they said to look out for acceptance calls and that they’re every two weeks(I think). They also said that we continue being considered until the end of the cycle so even if we don’t get a call after the first two weeks, we are still in the running!
