University of Houston acceptances

For those that have been accepted, did you receive an email prior to your acceptance letter in the mail? I just recevied an email that read:


"Congratulations and welcome to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy for the fall 2004 semester. I am glad that you have opportunity to join my profession and the college.

A formal enrollment offer will follow within the week

Welcome!!!"


None of my friends received this email; they just received a letter in the mail.
The letter is pretty informal and it wasn't signed, but it is from Ms. Zatopek. Hmmm, maybe I'm just being paranoid. I will be jumping up and down though when I get the formal letter in my mail. =)

i never got an acceptance email, only a letter in the mail. But today Paige sent out an email to everyone who got accpeted telling about the new pharmacy student information session in june, so i guess if u got that email then you're in.

nguyenkd, did you ever receive the letter? i have a friend who interviewed the same day and still hasn't heard anything. does UH have a waitlist?

i received that email last week and was suppose to receive a formal letter within a week, but i didn't. i emailed them and they said all letters have been sent out and to contact them again if i don't receive it by next wednesday. UH does have a waiting list. my interviewer told me that there have been cases where they pull people from the waiting list and notify them of their acceptance on the day of orientation. 😱

I recently spoke with Mrs. Zatopek earlier this week and she told me that those emails were conditional acceptances only. The admissions committee is still deliberating over the next 3 weeks and everyone should get their acceptance letters by then. Good luck!

i received my acceptance letter in the mail today! 😀 my interview date was the last one (april 30), so your friend will probably hear soon, emogrrrrl.

HEy all,

Just wanted to drop of my personal congrats in this webthread. Recent PharmD grad from UHCOP and basically extending welcome to a great school. The last four years of my life would best be described as unforgettable. If you have any questions, feel free to email me ([email protected]). I was past Pharmacy Council (student body pres) so i know the profs, the classes, the organizations, even the frats. Hope you guys are enjoying your time before classes starts!
