Anybody know what the avg. GPA and MCAT scores are for non-state apps at Univ Of Ill Chitown??Also I read something on their website about that they prefer accepting minority students from out of state.......... I am assuming they mean minorities "underrepresented in Med schools" and not minorities in general....................Let me have your feedback

It's true for all schools in the country. Nobody gives a **** if u r a minority unless u r underrepresented. And I believe that's how it should be.

I don't have the official numbers for MCAT and GPA. However, the word on the road is that you are good candidate w/ 3.6+ GPA and 30 on ur MCATs. Of course, people get in w/ little lower scores, but interview plays an important role in those acceptances.

i was invited for an interview to UIC but I declined.
3.4 31 from Berkeley with a solid overall application with life experience.

is that for a URM or just an out of state applicant?

UIC loves Out of state URMs. But most out-of-state students are MD/PhDs. (They don't have to pay tuition. They actually get paid pretty well at UIC for doing PhD).

Who would pay 50 grand a year for UIC?
