Hi. This question is for anyone familiar with Kansas' admissions process. I read on the interviewfeedback forum that during you interview, they do not know about your grades or MCATS. Is this true? Once you receive an interview invite, does everything after that depend on how well you do on the interview if the MCAT and GPA dosn't count after the interview? WOW, that seems like a lot of weight on an interview. Can anyone familiar with the process confirm or deny this. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

I am from Kansas and my best understanding is this...

Once you get to the interview you are judged qualified to be admitted so they are looking for the most desirable candidates in terms of personality as well as numbers. The transcripts and scores are not in your folder at that time but the essays et c are...

Be advised that KU does admit heavily from Kansas--both the state and the university.
