This is my second year applying, I'm an OOS non-traditional student. This is my first year applying to UMN, but I'm also applying to a mix of repeats & new schools. My list has been primarily based on either likelihood of admission (including positive feedback from file reviews) or comparatively low tuition/living costs. For this year, I'm applying to Cornell, Auburn, Illinois, VAMD, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio, Iowa, Penn, and KSU. I honestly didn't realize how much my list skewed Midwest until about 4 days ago, despite having spent all but 2 months of my life firmly on the East Coast...
UMN doesn't show your score on VMCAS, they're sent directly to the school rather than through VMCAS (at least they should have been). During the Admissions Q&A last month, we were told we would be informed if our GRE scores were missing, but you can always e-mail them to confirm.
Ahh thank you!! I sent them directly to another school as well and that school put them up on VMCAS, so I thought UMN would have done so as well! That’s a big relief!

Just be yourself - there aren't right and wrong answers in behavioral interviews, they want to see how you react to different situations and what skills you've developed along the way. Don't think that every answer has to be related to vet med - some of our biggest learning experiences come from things outside the clinic

Okay, that makes it alot easier. That's how I had done it originally but then I saw there are alot of weird symbols and rules and different types of phonetic spelling so it made me really question if I was doing it right or not. 😂I

For example my name is Anna and I wrote “Anne-ah” instead of “ah-n-ah”
You can use IPA (e.g. John Nguyen = dʒɑn ŋwɪn) if you want to be precise, but the people reading it probably aren't very familiar with it either, so it's easiest for everyone to just spell it in the way that has the least ambiguous pronunciation in English (e.g. Jon Nwin)

I am OOS and this is my second time applying to Vet schools but my first time applying to MN and the MN/SD 2+2 program. I was offered interviews for both but don't have a date yet! I am dying to go to the pre-sessions but probably won't be able to attend any since I work 12hr shifts
