I was lucky enough to be accepted to these two excellent programs, my only problem now is deciding between the two. Rankings are pretty similar. Im thinking costs should be pretty close Average indebtedness is actually lower at Rochester b/c the cost of living is so much less. Both places have a lot of really interesting research going on. I know its likely to change but at this point Im interested in orthopedics or anesthesia.
Rochester pros:
Strong international programs
Awesome innovative curriculum
Pass/fail
Largest hospital in a large area
Maybe more aid money
Interesting academic tracks
Cons:
Long days in classes
Weather
Maryland pros:
Short class days
Away rotations at Hopkins
Block schedule
Girlfriend is here
Cons:
ABCDF grading
Overshadowed by Hopkins?
Harder to get funding for international trips
Any other thoughts or anything else you guys think I should consider? Thanks in advance!
