I guess Cali will not hear until next week! This is so stressful :sorry::annoyed::arghh:
 
Interview for the Flex DPT just ended. It wasn't bad as I had expected it to be. Essay was what three values do you think PT's have and name three examples. Dr. Love was absolutely amazing and extremely polite. Overall, I am satisfied and the interview went well to my knowledge. Now, I am in the same boat as everyone else! Good luck!

sure thing i try to remember

my combined GRE was just over 300 around 310 i beleive
undergrad GPA 3.2
pre-req GPA around 3.6
keep in mind that at most other schools it was around 3.0... with this school allowing me to use exercise phys instead of normal physiology helped alot as well as using things like biomechanics and kinesiology classes instead of some physic classes really helped. as you can see it went up considerably.
from what i can tell, if you got an interview you have a really good chance. interviews i believe to be a weeding out process of those who may be very socially awkward and would not do well in a field like this.
if you were just being yourself and was personable and talkative i think youll be fine. my interviewers stressed that it wasnt a compition it was just for them to talk to us and get to know who we are and tried to make it conversational instead of drilling us!

observation hours were
150 hours outpatient
20 hours inpatient at a skilled nursing facility

Just received an acceptance email to Austin campus! Didn't expect it do be this weekend... When it didn't arrive yesterday I was sure it's be another week!
 
Those of you waiting to hear from Cali and FL campuses and Flex programs keep your head up!
To my fellow future classmates in Austin, looking forwards to sharing this journey with you for the next few years!

I plan on celebrating tonight and my first toast goes out to everyone who is on this thread and who follows this thread. Its been a crazy few months and without all of you to help each other and myself through this time with such great support who know's where I may be.

Congratulations to those who got in 🙂 Three cheers for the hard work. I think austin campus has only 55 applicants, so everyone has good chance of getting in. Idk if that would be the same case for Fl and Cali campuses . Lets hope for the best !!

I think from the count that myself and another interviewee had at the Austin interview day there was about 53 of us that attended. Being that USA typically accepts 45-55 students as per their website states, it would probably be a fair shot we all got accepted unless there were extenuating circumstances. But who knows...speculation only drives you crazy sometimes .....
 
For those who got accepted to USA for the Spring cycle, all congrats and best of luck! I'm in the process of my application for the Fall 2015 cycle deadline in December! I was wondering for those go accepted, is there anyone willing to read and help give insight on my essays that they required? Would definitely appreciate it!

Hey guys, I'm a new member but not new to the boards, I've been anxiously lurking along with the rest of you these past few months, waiting for updates. I'm waiting to hear back from the Fl campus and from my understanding, most of their decisions are made, they are just waiting to finalize and hear back from the program director. Apparently that's been what is causing the hold up and are doing everything possible to get an answer out to us this week. She said to give a call back if I still hadn't hear back in a couple of days! Hang in there, we are almost there!
 
I just finished my interview this past weekend and already very anxious...
 
Nothing from Cali still. Has anybody called about Cali specifically or should we assume that they're having the same issue as Florida? Knowing they may have already made the decisions makes me even more antsy!

i am just assuming that all three campuses are going to notify us at the same time and they are all having some issues right now.. ugh hopefully they'll give us closure by this friday :\
 
Should we call Cali just to find out status? Or should we just assume it's the same as FL and wait?
