is it true that UofT usually releases their acceptances a week before the tentative date that they give us? so we probably hear by on june 8th?

Where did you hear this from? I thought it was going to be June 15th, but of course this date is tentative so perhaps earlier/later. A week early is a huge time gap haha.

Yeah it’s supposedly been the case for the past couple of years, so fingers crossed that June 8th is the day. Can’t wait any longer lol

Yes, you are correct. If I recall correctly, last year the decisions came out right near 5PM on the friday before the decision date they had told us. If this year follows suit, you should be able to see decisions at this link on June 8th.

looks like this year the tentative date is on a Monday though, so it might be next Monday at the earliest. Unless they want to release it this Friday

Will decisions only be available on that link until June 15th? Or will they also post the decisions on the website before the tentative date?
Also, good luck to everyone! If it’s like past years, we should all find out in 2 days :)

Last year I believe the tentative date was June 16 but the email was sent on June 10! Good luck to you too ☺

    Wait what
I see this in the Important Deadlines pdf file though?

    And it's a Monday.

Looking at last year's thread it looks like it was released on Friday June 9, 2017 right before 5pm and yeah, their tentative date was Friday June 16, 2017. But who knows when they will release? I'm just nitpicky with the dates right now cuz the wait is painful and I got nothing to do.

Wow I didn’t even notice that. I think most of us were referring to the tentative date posted on the UofT PharmD website that says June 15th instead of June 18th. I really hope it’s the former, waiting for this decision is putting my life on a miserable hold lol

Yeah but they also mentioned the 15th again in the reminder email they sent a couple weeks ago about transcripts!

Neither did I. When did you send your final transcripts? Sent mine a while ago (end of April).

the deadline was june 1 so going by the previous years, 7 days later would be when they send out acceptances

Oh yeah, I totally get that. I was just trying to figure out if the "transcript reminder" email was only sent to those who have yet to submit their final transcripts.

Honestly I just worked as a pharmacy assistant throughout my undergrad and in a sporting goods store before that, and they liked that I had a mix of pharmacy experience and sales! LinkedIn is great to open doors.

And pharmacy rep is nice because you have very flexible hours, but you face a lot of rejection haha.

Hey everyone! I was accepted as well! For those that are worried about their marks, let mine give you some hope ;)

    • Cumulative average: 77%
    • PCAT stats:
      • Bio: 81
      • Chem: 89
      • Critical Reading: 52
      • Math: 92
      • Writing: 4
      • Composite: 84
I have taken a full course-load every semester, throughout all 4 years of my undergrad.

The interview went alright... I feel like I said a few stupid things on ~2 stations (lol) but overall I felt alright about it! Just smile, show your personality and don't worry about slowing down. The most important thing is how you communicate your answer (be clear, confident and warm). If you have any questions let me know :D

Hey guys, I've also been accepted!! :) I'll share my stats in the hopes it might help future applicants or give some hope to others with a similar breakdown.

Cumulative Average: ~80% - Completed UG with 3 years full course-load. My marks were all over the place and I really didn't think I stood a chance (60's in a few pre-reqs).
PCAT: 81% composite (deffintely not the best comp score.. just goes to show you don't need a 90+ to be admitted)
MMI: I think I performed above average in 4 stations, average in 4, and not so great in 2. I really have no idea though. I found the whole process to be extremely stressful and I really didn't enjoy it. For future applicants, think of each room as a fresh start, you will find your confidence breaking at times, the key is to keep moving and just focus on the next room. Try to think slowly and keep yourself calm as best you can (I know its hard).

I will be declining my offer for Waterloo, so it looks like one lucky person is going to be getting off the wait-list soon! Congratulations to all those accepted and good luck to those on the wait-list!! :)

    Hi Guys!

I got an offer from both waterloo and UofT haha. For those of you applying next year, here are my stats: 3.49cGPA (81.12% avg)
    PCAT:
    Bio: 75, Crit: 59, Chem: 96, Quant: 94, Comp: 90
For my MMI, I felt pretty good overall, maybe a station or two could've been better.
I was actually surprised to be accepted by both schools because I have an F on my transcript (Organic chem I) and a D in thermochemistry (both pre-reqs for UofT pharmacy LOL). Fs are huge red flags for both schools, so I was ecstatic to get offers from both schools. I took full course loads though every fall and winter of my undergrad (might've helped I finished with a lot of high 80s and 90s in my last 2 years of undergrad).
For my UW interview, I felt really good about it. I think I made up with doing well on Casper and putting effort into the supplemental application!

I'll be choosing Waterloo though (interestingly, I thought I was dead set on UofT), so whoever is on the waitlist for UofT, Good luck!

I'm actually declining UofT's offer and going with Waterloo. I think both programs are great, I just got a better overall feel from Waterloo. My main reasons are:

    1. Smaller class size
    2. The paid co-op terms are very appealing and cut down the cost of tuition quite a bit
    3. As much as I'd love to live downtown Toronto, I know the rent will be pricey. After completing my undergrad I'm looking to cut down costs however I can
    4. I really liked the building/learning environment
    5. I can work for the next 6 months before starting. It'll be nice to have a break before starting 4 more years of school lol

Like I said, both programs are great and it's a difficult decision, I just think I'm better suited to Waterloo's program. For those of you choosing UofT over Waterloo I'm sure you feel the same way in terms of it just being a better 'fit'. For everyone who received offers from both schools I'd be interested in hearing how you made your decision too. Best of luck :)

    Hi Everyone,
I have luckily been accepted to both UofT and UW and I will be choosing UW. For anyone struggling to decide between the two I have made a comparison between both schools based on experience and approximate costs and am attaching this for you guys as well!
    Hope this helps! :)
