I was an August MCATer so I'm a little behind. For those of you out of staters who applied to UW, how long afterwards did it take before you got a secondary?

My primary was sent in June, I got a notice that they had received my app (via email) that said I would hear about a secondary later. I never did! I'm still hoping, though...

I was completed in mid-Sept. Got the same email. Never heard back from them either.

Are you guys in the WWAMI states by any chance?
(Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho)

Outside those 5 states, it's nearly impossible for OOS residents to get into the school, unless you are applying MD/PhD or are a minority.

I'm out of state. I got my e-mail about 1 month after receiving the initial e-mail that they received my application.

I'm still waiting! And I'm here at UW doing lab research right now too! I should go bang on their door and see what's up... or not.

Guys, we might as well run after other schools cos i am also an august taker, called them and they said i should wait patiently cos out of staters are screened. So just dont hold your breath cos they are not going to respond anytime soon.

I NEVER GOT A SECONDARY!! ARGH.

Of course, I'm not bitter. I didn't expect to, being from out of state. My AMCAS was submitted back in 7/20, but I didn't get any official decision notification (rejection) until 11/7... over three months! Good luck to you, though.

talked to one of the admissions officers this morning....first AMCAS-received e-mail in july, second in late october.....august mcat re-taker......the nice lady said that my app was going into screening next week....and screening would take up to a month.....i'm a reapp......last year got my UW secondary in december....interview in january for march.....haha, so much for possibly interviewing earlier.....good luck OOSs!!!!

side note, hey kalenakai, congrats on all your other interviews!!!

Thanks for the note, barcelona-bound. Good luck to you as well in the reapp cycle. I'm sure there's a better chance 2nd time around. Did you hear anything yet from UH/JABSOM?
