Hi all

University of Wollongong runs an innovative medical programme based in Wollongong and Nowra on the south coast of NSW. We take 12 international students into our programme each year.

Just wanted to let you know that applications for the 2010 intake into the University of Wollongong MBBS programme will open 2 January 2009 and close in June 2009. All applications for North American students are handled directly by Australearn and applicants received prior to 1 March will be given priority for early round interviews. While we have GPA and GAMSAT requirements for entry, we are strongly focussed on the extracurricular activities of candidates as well - particularly teamwork, leadership, service ethic and community activities.

North American applicants will be interviewed in April 2009 in Vancouver, Toronto and Washington DC (and other sites as required).For more information contact Australearn or feel free to email me.

Hey all SDN members!

We are undertaking final preparations for the 2009 admissions interview and marketing trip to North America in April. I just wanted to remind you that if you had not yet applied for the University of Wollongong its time to do so NOW.

University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine is a new and innovative school offering small class sizes and excellent clinical facilities in a dynamic educational programme. We accept 12 international students every year in our cohort of 84 students (spread across 2 campuses).

All North American applications are accepted and supported by Australearn and if you wish to be considered for the early round, please apply by 20 MARCH 09. Incomplete applications WILL be accepted and assessed while waiting for MCAT scores or final grades.

Students successfully shortlisted will be offered face to face interviews in the following cities in April: Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON, Ottawa, ON, Denver, CO, Washington, DC

If you are not yet ready to apply, or just wish to learn more, I will be meeting with students across North America to discuss the programme and what we offer. As well as larger information sessions at several universities, I will be meeting individually with students in many sites as required. These are very informal meetings and give you an opportunity to ask all the questions you always wanted to know! Last year these information sessions were very popular.
