Hi all SDN members!
University of Wollongong runs an innovative medical programme based in Wollongong and Nowra on the south coast of NSW. We take up to 12 international students into our programme each year.
Applications for the 2011 intake are now open and close in June 2010, however we would strongly encourage applications prior to mid-March as they will be given priority for early round interviews and offers. All applications for North American students are handled directly by Australearn who are our exclusive agents in US and Canada. While we have GPA and GAMSAT / MCAT requirements for entry, we are strongly focussed on the extracurricular activities of candidates as well - particularly teamwork, leadership, service ethic and community activities.
North American applicants that apply in the early round will be interviewed in Denver, Vancouver and Toronto in April 2010 so if you have not yet applied please contact Australearn NOW. Incomplete applications will be considered and assessed while waiting MCAT scores or final grades.
If you are not yet ready to apply or wish to know more, I will be meeting with students across North America to discuss the programme and what we offer. These are informal sessions where you can ask about anything you need answers to!!
