On the UNLV supplementals page, it says "List the names of all other dental schools you have applied to."
Seems a bit weird to me that they would ask that. Or is it normal?

Couple of schools did the same. Some people say is for statistics purposes, others that is to see if you say the true.

Honestly, a lot of schools want to know where else you are applying to. Mention schools that are at UNLV's level (similar GPA and DAT profile). Do not mention your stretch schools because they might think you are considering them as a safety option.

Also don't mention too many schools because you don't want them to think that they are just one of 20 schools you are applying.

To make them feel special, mention 4-5 similar schools in GPA and DAT score and that should be good.
I disagree
always best to tell the truth

I go to UNLV. I applied to 24 schools and listed out the 23 others on the UNLV supplemental -- obviously they didn't "get spooked." (Btw, I interviewed on the first days of interviews in 2017).

Don't lie and be honest. Terrible advice by DentalSchoolCoach.

Mention all the schools lol

Some schools like Colorado ask you this question in a voluntary post interview survey.
It is for statistical. But if you want, you can go ahead and lie. But if you gonna lie bring that same energy to the interview and let the interviewer catch you slipping

The dental school coach is telling us to lie on our applications... 🤔

Lieing (lying) by omission or commission appears to be the usual MO

First of all, Lieing is not a word.

Look, there are different ways to answer a supplemental question. There are no right or wrong answers. Bigjt1420 mentioned all his schools and he got in. I provided a rationale behind my statements because I believe it's a "strategic" thing to do. I'd not call it a "lie"

There are many more factors that are important in the admissions process. This one question will not make or break your application.

The nonexistent word would certainly not be capitalized and it does beat lying, but you can use whatever euphemism you wish. The "one question" might have been "strategic"ally placed to check an applicant's veracity. It's wishful thinking that ds have no clue where applicants apply.

I am an incoming D1 here. Applied to 13 schools and listed all of them. Definitely list them all, they may ask you in person how many schools you applied to and you don't want to stumble over this question.

is it also a "strategic" thing to do to delete a post where you tell people to lie on their application?
