Which school do you think is better?
UNLV is definately the better school.
unlv of course
Both are good...I like what UDM has to offer, thats why I'm going there. city sucks, but ur pretty much guaranteed to see some cool stuff in clinic being that nobody there can really "afford" an established dentist. Plus they have a small class size and are moving to a brand new facility at the start of 08. As far as the location goes, you can live around the city. apparently they have some of the nicest suburban areas in the country. But, as I said, I think either way you cant make a wrong choice b/c...as you'll see in a million other threads...nobody can really say one school is "better" than another being that there are no rankings of dschools. It's all where you want to be and where you feel you will do best.
For me personally, I'd pick UDM. More clinically based in my opinion, and the school has a longer "history". It's true that it's in a cruddy area but hey, that's where you're gonna get the best cases. =P
I heard that people are leaving the town in Detroit and pretty soon will be a dead city. Is that true? I don't know much about UDM but i think UNLV is cool.
Yea the city itself doesnt exactly have much staying power. Many people are losing their homes and such..but as I said, the surrounding suburban areas are pretty nice actually...so it's really not all that bad.
