Yeah. So I'm heavily tempted to just not go to my 2 other interviews, 'cuz the schools are more expensive, and plus I had written this very strong letter of interest to the school I got accepted to (which no doubt helped). So part of me would feel guilty if I went anywhere else. Anyway, in many ways it would make a lot of sense for me to go to the school I got accepted to, and I'm quite excited about it.

I've already made travel plans to attend the other 2 interviews, however, so part of me is like, I might as well go. But I just don't feel that motivated. 🙄 I'm also working at a hospital right now and I'm totally wishing I could quit right now. I hate rotating shift work. I just don't feel like working so hard any more considering med school starts in Aug and I'll have to work nonstop once it starts.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah, after I got accepted to one of my top choice schools, I quit everything I was doing and withdrew from 90% of the schools I had applied to.

Oh yeah - I dropped most of my classes this semester and bs ECs I was doing. I really don't want to do my thesis, too bad I need it to graduate!

Are the other two interviews in interesting cities or places you haven't been? Maybe you could just go, since you already made arrangements, but skip the interview and have fun! Regardless, if you think you'r rather attend this school and believe the others would be more expensive, I think it would be totally fine to skip them.

you could keep your travel plans...but skipping the interview--or going to it with the knowledge you wont be attending--is essentially taking a chance away from another applicant. Yes, you earned the right to interview there...but I'd say it's a matter of courtesy for your fellow person at that point.

You've already made travel plans, and I'm assuming you'll lose money if you don't go, right (assuming you bought flight tickets)? Unless you're SURE that nothing could make you change your mind about going to the school you're already in to, then you should just go. If it's not too late to save serious money by not going and you're low on cash, that's another story.

ebay the interview spot?:meanie:

It seems like you have already made up your mind about the school that you are going to. If you had to pretend today that you were accepted to all other schools you are going to interview for, what would you pick? (Though if you don't interview, you might miss out on another school that "feels like it fits") If it was the school you were already accetped to, go travel and enjoy a new city and skip the interview.

I would still go. Wouldn't it be sweet to have the confidence of being accepted to one of your top-choice schools going into the interview ? You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Go for it.

At the time I interviewed with LECOM I had been accepted to VCOM and knew that an amazing day would have to occur for me to consider LECOM at this point in time. However, I found out about VCOM a few days before the interview so there was no point in cancelling. It does feel good, definitely feels good.

Tell the hospital you need to take time off to focus on school work and pull all remaining applications unless you would go to the school if accepted.

You know, that's what I thought too. I went to one of my interviews after having been accepted at one of my top choices, figuring "eh, this way it'll be totally low-stress"...instead, what ended up happening is that: 1) I don't DO low stress, so it didn't make too much of a difference; 2) I was paranoid that at some point either the interviewers or the other students would ask me some question that would lead to the toolish answer "oh it's ok, I'm in at one of my top choices already", and 3) I loved this school and it totally messed with my head ("damnit I was all set to go to **** and now THIS....and what if I don't get in, I'll start feeling all sorry for myself when really, I've been so lucky....").

We are shipmates my friend.

I am having SUCH a hard time bringing myself to work some pointless job right now. Just got back from an interview at a nice restaurant. I gotta start in the back at $50 a night and work my way up to serving - brutal.

But how much is my limited free time worth? Right now I feel like tacking $10,000 in debt onto whatever my total debt will be, playing endless guitar, and doing random volunteer work until August. Why not?

Ugh, I am with you in this sentiment. I've been trying to get a job, but a: the job market in FL (and the rest of the US) sucks right now, and b: I am not at all motivated to work for the next 6 months given the mountain that is in front of me.

I will take your interview spots!😀

Thanks. I will go to one of them since it's very very soon and I already have plane tickets, which I'd lose out on if I don't. I did cancel my other interview spot so hopefully that benefits one of you guys, one some off chance.

3rd this. I'm thinking of quitting my job April or May and taking a cruise.
