I would say its more than doable. Those Step scores are not a killer even without all the other gold stars you have... not to mention the background and experience you will have once you actually apply to EM. If you can couple that background with a good work ethic and likable personality then you are are a shoe in...

I'll be anxious to hear what the more experienced have to say... and if we are lucky.. one of the gods will chime in.

I'd say you have great chances. Experience, mph, good personality, all weigh in.
 
-Extras: A love of history and writing with a paper trail to prove it. Gold Humanism Honor Society (I realize that many on SDN do not see that as an achievement).

The Gold Humanism Honor Society is a big deal to some PDs, mine (Mayo) included. You should get some mileage from that as well as the MPH.
