UoP interview in Feb...still a chance?

I have an interview scheduled for the first week of Feb at UoP. I have heard from some people that after Dec 1 you are accepted to a waiting list because they fill the majority of the spots on Dec 1. Then I heard from other people that this year may be different and I could still have a strong chance of getting an acceptance there since they accept most students that interview. Has anyone interviewed there this year that may be able to help me decide whether to book a flight or cancel my interview?

You will be interviewing for a position on the alternate list....so after your interview you have to pay 200$ to hold a place on the list......after April 15th (when their 2nd deposit is due) they typically have a few spots open up to offer to people off their wait-list... I've heard as many as ten people and I've heard some years none were taken from the alternate list....their alternate list is ranked (usually somewhere around fifty total)....so it's up to you if you want to attend the interview or not...but if your still not sure about it, please don't...you'd be doing me a favor....

yea, agree with what was said. they're only interviewing for the alternate list now.

Hey thanks for the input. However, I decided to make sure and finally called the school to ask them straight up if the interview was for the alternate list.

Janelle asked for my name and looked me up. I thought that was a little strange until she told me I would be interviewing for a seat in the class and not the alternate list. She told me that they let students know when she calls them if they are interviewing for the alternate list. Sooo it looks like UoP may still be a possibility. Just when you start to have things figured out...
