How will this pandemic change how the upcoming cycle will proceed? Will AMCAS be able to process transcripts? Online MCATs? Online interviews? Extending deadlines? How will all this work!!!

My guess is by May we should be back to normal. MCAT for next two months and volunteering hours for those applying for next cycle are the issues right now.

And what if its not done by May?

Online interviews.

MCATS should still be doable. Key thing is to establish a social distance, which works in situations like these.

Of course apps can be processed. People can always work from home in a digital age.

Extending deadlines would also be possible.

Suggest seeing how the uS handled the Spanish flu epidemic, and then update to our century, with our conveniences.

Rule One : Take a Breath

This is a constantly changing situation with no definitive answers. Anything we say hear is pure speculation and all that will cause is stress, worry, and anxiety without giving any information.

Im not worried im already in this cycle. But for the people next cycle.....

I heard UPITT scheduled BSMD interviews for September which means they are forcing students to pick Pitt for UG without knowing medical school outcome.
