I know that this has been discussed some, but I have a question anyway. There are two schools that I have not heard from and I would like to send and update letter. I am planning on expressing my interest my interest in their programs and listing my grades from the fall semester. Does this seem appropriate?

I don't really want to send a transcript, because I have two outstanding incompletes. They are justified (thesis, and another independent study type of course) and I am working to get them completed. However, I don't want to highlight this and explain this to the schools.

What do you think? Is sending transcripts a must?

When we send update letters to schools are we supposed to send a transcript or can we just say what grades we got?

If you are still in school and your grades are decent I wouldn't think sending a transcript can hurt. I would say send it unless you feel your new grades arent going well.

I am thinking of doing something similar to the 5 schools I have not heard from but wonder if it isn't too late. Anyone know when the latest reasonable date to send any updates would be?

In terms of timing, I think that it depends on the school. The schools that I wish to update should be still actively evaluating candidates.

Does anyone happen to know when Pitt, NYU and Mount Sinai and Tufts stop giving out interviews?
