  1. Attending Physician
When i submitted my AMCAS I only put three EC's since it said "work and activities", i thought you only put really big things. I know now that I can add another a few significant ones, with some airy stuff as well (honors, dean's list, scholarship..etc).

1. Is it worth it?
2. Do schools mind such things?
3. Any suggestions no how to phrase/structure the letter? (i.e.I want to avoid "Dear Admissions Committee, i was a big fool and did not put all of me EC's on my AMCAS..blabla")

I'd really appreciate any advice/suggestions/experiences anyone may have.

- I posted about updating my amcas two weeks ago, but that, if at all possible, would be a lengthy process, i understand.

From what I understand, I dont think you will have much success changing your AMCAS app. However, you could send letters to each school to add to your app. (I think you eluded to this already). Several schools for example, such as Yale provide an optional section to provide extra info not held in your app. Places like those can serve as areas to include your information. That sucks but it can be fixed with some leg work. Just explain to them truthfully what happened. We are all human and we make mistakes. Good luck.

Example Letter:

Dear XXXXX School of Medicine,

My name is.... I made an error including all my activities in my application. The following information is what was supposed to be listed in the AMCAS application.

Something along those lines I think is good. Dont beat up on yourself, be respectful and be humble. Thats about all I can say. Oh yeah, try to observe the character count for each activity description since it is limited on the application.

Later.
