updating med school with email

Hi all,

Is it generally a good idea to update med school with an email saying what new things I was able to accomplish this summer, or maybe attach an updated version of CV? Should I do this even if the school does not mention anything about updating them?

Many schools do not accept (or welcome) updates.
If you have something substantive and you have evidence that updates are welcome, send an email.

I updated a school to reflect a few grades that came in, as well as a few more shadowing hours, and they said something like, "Thanks, we'll update your file."

I later found out after that cylce that they don't really pay attention to anything but the AMCAS and the secondary. So, I would tell you not to base much on an update.

Probably wouldn't hurt to send it though, unless they tell you not to.
