For those of you UPenners out there...do you know which - if any -courses in the first semester (modules 1, 3, and 6) require mandatory attendance? Is it good to miss, say, an anatomy prosection the week before an exam? I've got a wedding to go to, so just trying to plan ahead with the plane ticket. Thanks!

In theory, all anatomy sections are required. If someone is not there pretty often, you would get in trouble. But that doesn't happen since people need to learn the matter and go on there own, regardless of if it is required or not. So miss a handful of anatomy sections (the course is about three months and you dissect three times a week), the course directors won't care. Just let your group know and you can get together with them (or anyone else you review with) and go over that material. Bottom line, missing it a week before the test is not a problem.
