Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between these three schools. Already put down a deposit at BU because I love the school and the city. It was by far my favorite interview and I loved the faculty there. I also got a great scholarship making it more similar in price to Stony Brook. I'm looking to potentially specialize, however I'm not sure what exactly I want to do yet. I think if I were to specialize, it'd be in ortho or peds. But, I might just want to be a general dentist, making me think that the price of UPENN is not justified.

In addition, I have around 100K in savings. I'm not sure if that information will help. This is mainly the reason why I feel comfortable with the idea of going to a school that is a tad more expensive, like BU. Had I not received a great scholarship and had saved money, that school would be out of the question.

Please give me your thoughts and DON'T just say choose the cheapest option. I'm willing to put value on other things that the school/city might provide. I made the mistake of choosing my cheapest undergrad offer and was kind of unhappy so I'm not doing that again. I'd really love to be in a big city and live somewhere new, too. The location of Stony Brook doesn't seem very ideal and a large majority of the class commutes, so I think I'd rather live in Boston or Philly.

Thank you for the help!!

There is no other value that a city or school provide during those 4 years. Dental school sucks; you’re there to get the degree. Go to the cheapest

If BU and Stony brook are about the same cost, go to the school you think you enjoy the most. It seems that you might enjoy the city of Boston more. Even if cost of living is a little bit more, you will be spending four years there and need to consider how happy you'd be there
