For months, there was the pre-interview hold message on my UPenn status page. Then today, a change! I was so excited. Then I read it:
"Your application continues to be reviewed but there is no change in your status. Reviews will continue until March 2006."
Sigh.

Anyone else get the same message?

The Penn Adcom is pretty good about updating that site. Mine was updated the day after my interview with new info. Duke, in comparisson, took over a week to update my status page after my interview...

I doubt it means anything significant, but feel free to prove me wrong, UPenn 😀

Yeah I got the change too. To me, it means "the first time we looked at your application we decided we didn't want to interview you, and then we looked at it again and decided the same thing".

Do you think they actually reviewed all of them. I wonder if there are any stats or previous SDNers who know if anyone ever actually gets off this and gets in. Good luck to everyone who's still hanging in there

My status page has been the same since they got my letters in November...no hold, no rejection letter, no invite. I'm not expecting any love from them though lol....but what do you guys think this means? My rejection got lost in the mail or the adcoms are smoking crack and haven't thrown my file out yet?

oh yea. that sucks and is frankly laughable. mine says -
Application Status - Complete: Additional Application Progress

and then "application continues to be reviewed but no change in status"

so by "progress" they mean that they momentarily lifted my application from the pile and then quickly put it right back down. awesome.

HAHA. Exactly, why don't they just send these $80 rejection letters out. My status hasn't changed since I was complete. Atleast yours got LIFTED out of the pile I'm sure mine has been in the landfill for quite some time
