From what I have heard, any licensed physician can work in urgent care clinics. I know of some IM residents that moonlight at one. I also know of a pediatrician (older) who quit his busy practice to work at one full time because he got a predictable schedule and no call. In general, it is probably FP, IM, and Peds docs because this is most similar to their training and practice.
