    Hi,
I may sound a little stupid right now but, what does URM stand for? And is this related to where do you come from? If it is, I'm from Brazil, am I an URM? And what advantages does an URM have?

    Thanks you

Do a search, there was just a post on this exact same thing not very long ago.

Stands for Under-represented minority, or something like that. I'm not one, so I honestly can't remember.

    Sorry. :p

Not all Hispanics are considered URM's, only those from mainland Puerto Rico, and Mexican-Americans. Although, I would assume that being Hispanic from any background would be a plus from a med school adcom viewpoint specially if you are fluent in Spanish.
