Urology LOR. Applying for gen surg

So I've assigned my letters for urology on eras. However I decided to apply general surgery as well. Does it look bad if a gen surg PD reads a letter from a urologist?

depends on how its written….does he praise your abilities to do surgery or that you are gonna be the best urologists ever!

no one whats to be the back specialty…

get a separate LoR for GS if the urology letter is specific to urology

Yes you'll have to be careful even if the letter doesn't comment about your ability to be a great Urologist. Since a Uro is not a GS subspecialty, it will likely be assumed you are using it as a backup.
