Hello,

If an IMG has completed their residency outside the US, in a non-ACGME accredited program; are they still eligible to apply for a US fellowship?
If yes, what are their chances of getting licensed for working in the US as physicians?

Thank you

Yes u can apply for ACGME accredited fellowship. Depending on how competitive the specialty is , you can get a spot. After this you won’t be board eligible but you will be able to
Practice in some states with 2 year of accredit training. So better have a 2 or more year fellowships.

How is that? Since 2015 (I think, could be off on the date), ACGME fellowships require completion of an ACGME residency ...at least IM based ones
