hi,

i am an international student, studying at a US MD school on a student visa. i just started 3rd yr and my stats are: M1 yr: all honors except 1 high pass; M2 yr: all honors except 2 high passes; step 1: 242. anyone know what my chances are of getting into an ENT residency, considering how competitive it is? also, anyone aware of which ENT residencies offer H1 rather than J1 visa?

thanks! :)

I don't think you would be evaluated any differently from a US citizen since you are already enrolled in an American medical school. I'm certainly not an expert on this at all, though. I do know that one of my med school classmates was from another country and matched at a very good orthopedics program. I'd suggest asking your dean about this- I'm sure there have been other international students who have graduated from your school. Good luck!
