US med student looking for elective in Bombay

Hi everyone,

I am a medical student in the US, and would like to do some kind of elective in Mumbai next year (during my final year of medical school). I am looking for either a clinical elective in one of the hospitals there and/or something clinical in the community. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or advice, including where, which hospitals/med schools, whom to contact, etc etc...? I really don't know where to begin! Also- I can speak Hindi.

I am also considering taking an elective in Mumbai this summer. As far as I can see, King Edwards Memorial Hospital is the place to go. Check out the very thorough description of electives on their website *www.kem.edu*
