USAP has GHA and Pinnacle. What do they offer to the group aside from payouts to the partners? Anyone work with them have insights they're willing to share?

Thanks!

They're able to negotiate better reimbursement rates per unit with insurance companies because they have such a stronghold on the market. If they are dissatisfied with what is offered, they can threaten to make that company out of network, and patients will complain/jump ship etc. So to answer your question, they bring in more revenue for the group/partners, and are able to secure more capital by being so large, and leveraging those assets to acquire more groups.

This is what it's really about.

Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) is a growth-oriented private equity firm exclusively focused on providing operational and capital resources to healthcare and information/business services. WCAS has invested more than $6.5 billion in healthcare companies and has a current portfolio of nearly 20 companies that have achieved dramatic increases in service quality and total revenue.

there's mutual benefit for WCAS ($$) and the groups ($$, negotiating ability, stability, resources, etc)

Until they get to a certain size/market capitalization where they don't have to "play nice" any longer.
