Hi, I'm interested in joining the US Army Reserve in a TPU for 3 years and then transfer to IRR for the remaining 5 years ... for a total of an 8yr MSO,
My recruiter told me this is possible. I talked to a Major in the dental corp who told me that he does not think its possible to enter IRR after only 3yrs with my HPLRP incentive. He thought it was always a 6yo obligation unless I skip HPLRP do just the specialty pay for 3yrs but h wasn't sure.
1) Does anyone have any feedback on this? What is the minimum TPU obligation?
2) Who can I connect with to get these answers?
3) Is it possible to get 3yrs HPLRP and 3yrs specialty pay? I dont have too much loans.
