To anyone going to USC or a similarly expensive private school - how are you planning on financing your education? I was thinking about doing an army scholarship, but I'm not sure now. If I take out loans, I'll be about 200 to 250K in debt (my parents won't be able to help me b/c I have a younger sibling entering college at the same time). This doesn't sound too bad when you consider a specialist MD's earning power...but it's still pretty daunting. Does anyone know if USC grants scholarships regularly? Being a private school, I would assume that they have a large endowment and are able to offer financial assistance to most of their students. Am I wrong? Please - anyone who has any information or has heard anything about this - chime in! Thanks.

Hey I just got back from Keck...and nobody I talked to had any grant money. No surprise given the fact that they were upper-middle class white males.

I'm entertaining the thought of applying for the nhsc scholarship. Especially if i end up at usc. Too bad 'sc is so expensive =P But ppl seem to manage...?
