Keck–
Pros :

• LAC hospital
• Better school ranking-wise
• In LA (closer to family and SO)
• When I interviewed, it felt like I would really fit in here/I feel like I belong

LLU–
Pros:

• Take from within their own for residency, might be easier to match into a competitive specialty
• Can start this July

Cons:

• Farther away from loved ones

I personally would hate those "weird lifestyle rules" and their general philosophy. I personally would defer a year and go do something new/fun, as you won't really get that chance once you're in medical school; you're only young once. But I get that some people want to start ASAP.

Don't know where you are in life, but certainly if you are in your 20s, go to USC, take the year to work/research/travel/volunteer, and don't look back.

Agree with the previous comment. If you are in your 20s just take the year off to enjoy life, and go to USC next year. You have more cons for Loma Linda and more pros for USC, anyways.
