I got a bunch of BRS books for way cheap. They are giving me a good preview for my future classes, etc. But I'm wondering if I should invest in newer editions come board study time?

For example, my pathology BRS is from 2002, and pharmacology BRS is from 1998...

BRS Anatomy, Physio, and Path are the only ones that are worth anything imho.

Path and anatomy aren't the best anymore (cue pathoma) but why not just buy the newest edition of brs phys? That book is helpful from day 1 of M1 until the day before Step 1. New info is always good.

No not an impulse buy. I found a bunch of older editions online for .75 cents each (as opposed to ~$40 for the latest editions) and I'm just trying to save money. I figured they would have the same information more or less. Not sure how much has changed in the past decade or so?

You could torrent the newest editions and see how they compare, if you're comfortable with that kind of thing.
