Hey everyone,
As an ophthalmology resident in a Canadian program, I've decided to write my USMLE Steps for the purposes of fellowships in the future. I haven't had a chance to look up which programs/states actually in fact require it but to keep options broad for the purposes of competition, I'm writing them. Please let me know if that's an unguided decision first of all.
However, my bigger issue is that I did not achieve a passing score for one of my steps and will have to re-write. Is this going to have any impact on obtaining a fellowship position in the future? Are all your scores reported to those programs requiring the USMLE?
