Just curious about the process from going Navy to USPHS. If anyone knew.

Additionally, curious, if usphs funds fellowships.

Hi. Here is a link on the USPHS website that talks about the application process: http://www.usphs.gov/apply/apply.aspx I believe that less than 8 years of prior active duty status is required, and there are various physical and medical requirements.

It's a little different going from the Navy to USPHS, look up "interservice transfer." I have a handful of friends who've done it - four did it as EIS officers, the others wanted to switch services. The PHS is hard up for physicians, so a lot of the requirements get waived (specifically age and rank). PM me for more info.
