UT Health San Antonio (Long) vs Tufts SOM

Hello, I’ve been in a dilemma trying to decide the school I should go to so if anyone could give any insight I’d appreciate it.

Long SOM

Pros:
- Full tuition scholarship
- 3 hour flight from home

Cons:
-H/HP/P/F
- Ranking

Tufts:

Pros:
- P/F preclinical
- No ranking

Cons:
- I still didn’t get their financial aid package but I already tried emailing the office regarding matching Long’s offer and they said they couldn’t
- 6 hour flight from home

I don’t know really recall the interview days for both schools as I interviewed early on. I know it sounds like a no brainer to second guess a full tuition scholarship, but having to stress about grades is something I’m really considering. Also, I believe they’re both about the same in terms of matching. I’d appreciate any help and further insight into the schools!

The stress of not being in $300,000-400,000+ debt far outweighs the stress of tiered grading. You should pretty much never pass up an MD full ride with no strings attached. You essentially have hit the lottery my friend, congratulations!
