UT-Houston Class of 2012!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Mine says that too, it's not a big deal right now. Make sure you do split up your tuition payment into 2 or 4 installments though otherwise you'll be paying for all of it in the first semester and be left with very little dough to last you through december.

I thought you pay for school one semester at a time.

Oh no. That would be too easy. Unless you request it, the schools only bills you once, for the whole year. But you will get loan disbursement in the fall and then in the spring. That is why you need to call to get it split.

That's really stupid. Thanks for the heads up. Who do I call? Financial aid, registrar?

I think registrar. But they'll always transfer you to whoever you should call if that isn't correct.

Here is what email we were sent. I know none of you 2012ers got it even though they it to you, since you know, they don't give you email access until right before classes start.

· Tuition and fees are due on Friday August 15, 2008. You can pay via http://utlink.uth.tmc.edu/ using your Student Identification Number/Pin or by calling the Bursar’s Office at (713) 500-3088.

· If you have or are planning on applying for Financial Aid: It is important that you sign and complete all paperwork in order for Financial Aid to release funds. Please contact Student Financial Services at (713) 500-3860 or use UTLINK http://utlink.uth.tmc.edu/ to check on the status of your application/funds.

· If using the Installment Plan to pay tuition and fees: It is important that you request a payment plan through the Bursar’s Office or use UTLINK at http://utlink.uth.tmc.edu/ prior to the disbursement of your financial aid funds. This will ensure that your funds are applied to charges that are currently due rather than the entire amount of your tuition and fees. There is a $15.00 installment fee that is added to your first payment. For more information on the installment plan, please contact the Bursar’s office at (713) 500-3088 or send an email to [email protected].

Note: UTLINK allows for the 2 payment installment plan option.

· UT System requires all Health Science Center students have Health Insurance coverage. Students will be automatically assessed the UT insurance plan but may have this fee waived by Auxiliary Enterprises if proof of comparable coverage is presented by the 12th class day. You can access a verification form at http://ae.uth.tmc.edu/info/Student_InsForm.html.
