nope.

goin' to Arkansas. Did you take the kaplan in memphis last summer?

no I didn't take the Kaplan in Memphis. I'm from Nashville.

good luck with school. I can hardly wait to start.

Will the hospital closing have any affect on the school?

I certainly hope not! I think the hospital merged though

UT- MED SCHOOL is a great school, they have a excellent program. My mom works at the VA Hospital which is one the the teaching facilities of UT. No, The closing of Baptist Central shouldn't have any affect on the school. B\c there are many hospitals downtown. There are: The MED, VA HOSPITAL, METHODIST CENTRAL, ST. JUDE, and LeBhonur(i can't spell that) then out east you have Baptist East, and Methodist Germantown

I grew up in Memphis, and from what my parents have told me, the only thing the hospital shutdown will do is ensure that you have plenty of patients to learn on. The emergency rooms are now overflowing constantly -- my grandmother went into one of the hospitals earlier this year with respiratory difficulty & it was 4 hours before they could put her on a bed -- and that was in the hallway. I know that this isn't exactly new for a lot of cities, but it is definitely new for Memphis.

Have fun, UTM is a great school!
