Utah Acceptances?

So, I've heard that U of U makes a number of their decisions in early January, even though they tell everybody it's going to take till mid March. Does anybody know if this is true? Anybody heard from them yet? I'm sick of waiting!!!

Hey, sorry this isn't a helpful post, but I'm curious too. I heard rumor that several dozen acceptances would be given out in December. (And it made me sick with nervous anticipation all month). I don't know anyone who got one, though. That said, I don't really know anyone else applying. I just expected to see at least a few people share their joy on this website.

So, I want the answer to this question too. Did they give out a bunch of acceptances? Do I suck because I didn't get one?

I think I remember Dr. Samuelson tell me last year (as I flailed and drowned in the waitlist pool all summer) That if you are well above and beyond their acceptace cut-off number then they don't make you wait until March...

mine last year was postmarked Dec 27th I think. I was an Idaho student.

I got an email from am M3 about "DO you have any Qs." Does that mean anything? I got it like a month after I interviewed there. I probably would have forgotten any questions I might have had.

As far as January acceptances are concerned, I know of one individual who was accepted last week. She interviewed in October. I don't know, however, how many people were in the January batch. I'm hoping the number is closer to 6 than 60.

I interviewed on one of the last days in November. I don't quote stats, but I will say that my GPA was high, my MCAT was mediocre, but I had put a lot of energy into my PS and ECs.

I think the key to acceptance is irony. Today was the day that my new MCAT prep books arrived in the mail and I spent ALL day filling out applications and traveling around SLC ordering transcripts for back-up Masters programs. Today was the first day in months that I didn't wait nervously by the mailbox for my acceptance/ rejection. And then I come home and a big envelope is waiting for me on the kitchen table. Halle-frikkin'-lujah.
