Hey there!
I recently interviewed at UTMB Galveston for their allopathic program. I really want to go there. I noticed they have a high GPA average at ~3.85 and a below average MCAT score at 29. Does this reflect their selection criteria? I am concerned because I am the inverse of this with 3.63 GPA and 35 MCAT. Any advise on my level of competitiveness from either current UTMB students/med students in general/advisors would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sounds like they take the best students they can.

Hint: it's easier to find more Texas students with a 3.85 than those with an MCAT > 30.

I don't think utmb is very hard to get into, you'll probably get in eventually

Thanks for the encouragement! I am still hopeful, but happy with my #2 school for sure!
